Sketching & Rendering

Hand Work

This is one of my very first assignments. We focused on sketching and hand rendering with prisma markers and colored pencils.

Intro to Interior Design

Vacation Home

My very first design assignment, everything was done by hand.

Interior Design I & Lighting

Residential Design

This is a combination of work from two five week classes. The first class I space planned and selected F,F, & E. The second class I focused on lighting, creating construction documents. I used AutoCAD and photoshop.

Interior Design II | Completed 05/16

Office Design

My second design class centered around open-office planning and systems furniture. This project was completed in five weeks. I utilized Revit and Photoshop.

Sustainable Design | Completed 09/16

Eco-friendly Residence

For this class I researched sustainable elements such as bio-mimicry, low-impact and local materials, and alternative power sources. I also studied LEED certification. This class was completed in ten weeks, and Revit, 3D Studio Max, and Photoshop were used.

Interior Design III | Completed 06/16

Restaraunt Design

I was given the exterior footprint of the building and a list of criteria to meet. I selected Polynesian cuisine and created a menu. The design centered around a traditional Hawaiian dish, Kālua pork, and Pele the goddess of fire.

Interior Design IV | Completed 10/16

Healthcare Design

I designed this trauma ICU room from scratch, there was no sq. ft. requirements other than must be realistic and follow code. I researched holistic healing methods as well as innovative technologies.

Spatial Environments | Completed 02/16

Wounded Warrior Community Center

A retired soldier once told me how he compared military life and civilian life to wolves and sheep. He said “I was trained to be a wolf and then thrown back into the sheep pin”. Transitioning from military life back into ‘normal’ society can often be difficult for soldiers who don’t suffer from any other drawbacks, even more so for those who are having to grow accustom to other life altering ailments (i.e. wheelchair, or loss of limb, mental confusion).
